The theatre company Artello Teatro was founded in Vigo (Galice, Spain) in 1978. Since then we have produced a total of 18 shows.

In 1994, Rosa Hurtado and Santiago Montenegro, with the contribution of Manuel Pombal in the direction, decided to start a new age, characterized by a more artisan way of production. That's why the alias alla scala 1:5 was appended to the former name of the company.
